The Company is an industry powerhouse that enables the seamless delivery of broadband information between public access networks and the homes and businesses they serve. Key semiconductor products include digital subscriber line (DSL) and cable modem solutions, home network processors, broadcast video encoders and decoders, digital set-top box components and systems solutions, and the company's foundation dial-up modem business. The Company also provides a full range of standards-based integrated circuits, software and reference designs for all symmetric and asymmetric DSL CO applications, which have been recognized as the industry's number one copper wire solutions for broadband communications.
 
Project Description

The company's top management was unable get the big picture in terms of sales of the companies products in various regions around the world. The top management needed to know both Demand and Supply risk, opportunities in different bands (red, blue, green) depending on the successful closing factor. Sales Information by various dimensions like Region, Customer, Sales office, Distribution Channel down to the sales personnel level was not available before. The information required providing the big picture was contained in disparate systems and to bring all this information together from its various systems the company embarked on a datawarehouse project TDW. This included getting information from its various systems such as SAP, Sales System, etc. After the datawarehouse TDW was created the company needed a reporting and analytical tool to present this information to the top management. Leading semiconductor solutions suite of products, the industry leader in providing reporting and analysis tools was chosen.

Impromptu Web Reports (For Enterprise wide Reporting using the intranet)
Cognos Visualizer (For Dashboard Reporting)
Cognos Powerplay Enterprise Server (For multidimensional Analysis on the Web)

Cognos Impromptu Web reporting product, an enterprise reporting product to enable the client and it's key personnel to do both standard reports and adhoc reports, utilize visualizer in dashboard format to condense large volumes of data or present multiple dimensions at once, and Cognos Powerplay to analyze information all of this using the company intranet. The Management was thus able to have it's pulse on the sales performance of the company on a daily basis and to take corrective and proactive steps to further the companies sales process and increase efficiency.

Nrit enabled the company to implement Cognos tools to build mission critical reports, analytical cubes and dashboard reports to provide management with a total reporting solution. This enables the management to track, trend and analyze its sales information by various products around it sales offices spread across the globe.
